Here I can get big ones too, black market can get aud $100 for 1 kg. is that expensive?

2 types here I know, one is licensed abalone divers, another catch in the ocean with no license.

abalones are delicious, especially when they are not farmed. Visitors can also legally bring home 1-2 for own consumption right?

Last time I went back I packed a small carton of over 10 big abalones, no issue at all at both customs.
