1. Ikea was the 1st to offer generous LOAN rates for buyers of furniture, so that many more can buy the items of their dreams and comfort, and earn thru the interest accrued. A beautiful Kingly armchair at $1000 can be bought even at 100% loan with NO down payment, only each month, a comfortable $100/mth payment for 2 years.....
Perhaps some would understand that nothing is free, and thus some sacrifice would have to be made....
Such marketing and financial tactics worked, and soon even others in the furniture industry followed along, including Courts Furniture, founded by Albert Court, England 1850, still surviving, with HQ in Singapore.
2. Many other ethnic groups were astounded with Singapore Malay Muslim beautiful homes, at the prices they have to pay eventually in reality, as most would avoid LOANS as it is financial sinking hole, paying more than what's worth.
Perhaps, it may had been a hangover from Independence day in the tumultuous 1965, whereby due to racist Malay supremacy attacks from Malaysia against Malays whom chose to reside in Singapore and laughed at by them, thus the Singaporean Malay Muslims suffered from INFERIORITY COMPLEX, as those Malay Muslims miscreants showed off their landed attap houses, backyards filled with edible vegetation and chickens, cheap cars, etc....where else Singapore Malay Muslims had to live in "pigeon holes"
And thus the need for Singapore Malay Muslims to show that they do have a sustainable life in Singapore - beautiful homes fit for a Royal family even if it is derogatively called a pigeon hole, but can be sold at S$1.5million today, thanks to the sacrifices, hard work and intelligence of our Founding and forefathers by WORKING TOGETHER, REGARDLESS OF RACE, LANGUAGE OR RELIGION, which the Singapore Malay Muslims now can retire in utter comfort, and even buy up ENTIRE Malaysian Estates, not just kampungs, if they so wish to.....
3. Religion is good, as it offers guidance and solace. However Islam is an ARABIC religion, and worse still, today, many Muslims had discovered how they had been misled by those whom came after the good prophet Muhammad when his death bed was not even cold yet, and twisted his Divine teachings to suit their continued barbaric way of life since their ancient Phonecian days.
Worse off are docile South East Asians whom were of polynesian origins, living in the lush fertile peaceful valleys of Asia, where every need was catered by Nature - fresh water from the mountains, abundant food resource from crops and animals, open sea for fish food, etc, etc.
They are not Arabs, but due to the horrific battles for Islamic supremacy since the death of the good prophet Muhammad, the more sane Muslims, mostly of Sunni sect, fled to Asia in the 10th century, and easily converted them. The Polynesians - current Malays, Indonesians, Bruneians, etc lived in peace for centuries even with other races such as the earlier Indian races of the 7th century SriVijaya empire, Cholas in Thailand, Chinese traders, etc....
However, by 1979, when the Shia Ayatollahs took over Iran, all hell broke lose as both sects attempt to show which sect is supreme, by racing to the bottom, returning ALL efforts and progress back to the stone age 7th century....
The point is - why should Polynesians - current Malay Malaysians and Indonesians, still lick the boots of Arabs, follow and be enchained by their twisted religion that was never what prophet Muhammad had intended, be made use of to serve Arab purposes, but were never TREATED as fellow Muslims, only to be despised and demeaned in private?
Even ex PM Mahathir laughed when the corrupted ex PM Najib claimed that the wealth in millions came from donations from Arabs, and Mahathir replied that he knows the Arabs and they are never that generous......
