Opposition parties should meet to select the BEST CANDIDATE who is in best position to beat the PAP candidate - no matter from which party! Could even be an independant.

Yes and no. The parties should bury all their differences (if any) amongst them choose a candidate (may even be an independant) that will best beat the PAP's candidate.

The idea is to bring in more opposition members into Parliament.

That depend on how much they feel that Singapore would be better off by having more opposition MPs in Parliament to counter the PAP. Party interest should play second to Singapore's interest.

No, it won't help the opposition or ordinary singaporeans.
It's better to have one strong opposition candidate taking on the pap candidate.
I just don't think it will happen in this BE and comparing the 2 scenraios stated above, I prefer the more entertaining first.
It will show a lot about these 3 men which is useful information for us ordinary chaps.

The former is precisely what I'm hoping for and the latter is the exact opposite.
Lionel the secret weapon should be saved for a GRC battle in 2016.
