“Beware of Scams!”

Please beware of shopping here especially at the first 2 levels. Some shops advertise very low prices but then refuse to hand over the goods AFTER you have paid the advertised sum if you dont pay a further large sum (which they call an "activation fee" or "warranty"). It is pure daylight robbery and even the police cant help you get back your money.

In other words, STAY AWAY and buy from a reputable department store instead. You have been warned!

“SCAM ALERT!”

SCAM ALERT!
Typically for shops located on level 1 and 2. (Be careful on other levels as well).
Scam process:
1. Quote a gadget (usually phones) at below RRP, but still appears reasonable. Eg, Quoted iPhone 6 at $980, where RRP is around $1100.
2. Get you to inspect the gadget. Once you are ok, proceed for payment, but shop holding to the gadget.
3. Once payment is made, shop will get you a form to sign as a mark of the transaction.
4. Once you signed, they will inform you that you had agreed to purchase a shop warranty.
5. If you reject, they will not give you your gadget or your money back.

If you meet with this issue, you may contact Singapore Police Force hotline at 999 to request for assistance.
Note that, from past experience, you will never get back the full amount you paid for!
It is best to avoid getting into this kind of situation.

There are sign boards at level 1 (near the lift) with a list of black listed shops populated and maintained by Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE). Avoid the listed shops at all cost.

As to why the management has not handed over a list of errant retailers over to the landlords in order to prevent errant tenants from renewing their leases, the management said: "Unless, we have 100 per cent evidence, we might be sued by these guys."

They added that Cyber Maestro, a retailer with three complaints filed against it according to CASE's latest statistics, recently sent a letter to the management demanding an apology and potentially S$30,000 in damages as the mall's security guard had assisted a customer in calling the police to lodge a report against it.

Two Members of Parliament (MPs) are expected to raise this issue during the next Parliament session, and ask if police can assist further. One MP had requested the management to collect evidence of these errant retailers

Just like PM Lee HL: find loopholes in the law and exploit it to the Max...
Guess after reading about the GE1997 episode, I think I have lost almost all faith that the AGC will do the right thing to uphold justice.

Fortunately, I still have some faith that the judiciary isn't as corrupt/ biased as the AGC.

Obviously a $ scam and nothing else: asking customer to sign purchase agreement AFTER collecting the payment for phone and introducing NEW terms/ conditions AFTER payment is collected... Obviously a scam.

As mentioned, the rogue shop keepers were all using the warped logic that the AGC used in defending LHL from electoral fraud allegations circa GE1997: of trying to influence election results by loitering/campaigning WITHIN a polling station: its like saying that stealing $1 is illegal, but if U steal $1quintillion: that is legal... Haha, AGC did turn the law into a circus act...

This Sim Lim case is a reflection of the situation in Spore. Whether you are a PAP MP or an Ah Beng. what is important is the money & not about service or reputation..

Bad tree bear bad fruit and must be cast into fire.

Bad leader produce bad nation, including bad neighbor jiuhu and KL kia giving Singapore a bad name.

Matthew 7:15-20

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

The best thing to do is to close the whole place down and restart it again and bar ah Bengs from doing business there.
