If shit is served, people will know it is shit, regardless of how the waiter describe it. People are not stupid when it comes to their overall well being.

I think a significant part of populace is convinced that more opposition is necessary to keep pap in check. This has yielded good results as evident after 2011 GE. The only way pap can debunk this notion is to make peasants' lives tougher as more opposition is voted in. But this can only backfire. So pap has no choice other than to accept more opposition votes.

These Scums in White don't actually serve shit so simple. They dress it up as chocolate first and the daft 60.1% will fall for it. With GRC, gerrymandering, new citizens to dilute your vote, etc, with less than 50% of the popular vote, they can still hang on to power. Just look at Malaysia. With less than 40% of the popular vote, then it will be quite difficult but glaringly undemocratic even if they can engineer it. With less than 30%, they will be out the door for sure.

I think there are quite a number of PAP IBs here pretending to be Opposition supporters. Unfortunately, sometimes in exasperation, these JiakLiaoBees will reveal their true colours, like in the below posts:
