Many vendors and sponsors r giving these tickets for free to clients/customers but at my office there r no takers. Nobody seems to give a dam. It's just like the Youth Olympics again.
It's been ingrained into our singaporean DNA that studying hard is the only way to one's success in life.
Playing games and being able to be handy with tools are all considered as something "low class" people will do.
In western countries, trades people are respected and so is sportsmen and another thing is ,we don't have Singaporean pride.

Shit Times reported that many SEA games event tickets selling very well but how come so many empty seats yesterday in the table tennis finals.
Phantom buyers? Or GLC mass buying tickets and giving it FOC to their staff who never bothered to turn up (unless compensated by off-in-lieu or early timeoff)![]()
