Scenic train journeys to take during winter

Please post a field report and some photos.
I lost most of my Switzerland photos as I accidentally deleted them when my phone storage was full. But doesn’t matter, plenty of photos in the internet.

It was more than 6 years ago I can’t recall the details but it’s a really enjoyable full day train journey from Zermatt to St Moritz with lunch onboard. The glacier express is a tourist train with big glass windows so can just sit back and enjoy good view of the magnificent scenery throughout. Passed by those viaducts too.

Jungfrau Railway, Switzerland -

Much of the railway runs within the Jungfrau Tunnel. But the initial section is open-air, and the Alpine landscape in mind-blowing. Pictured: Kleine Scheidegg railway station with the Eigernordwand in the background.

This Jungraujoch top of Europe trip is nice too. Oh ya I checked my holiday expense spreadsheet that day, it’s actually not included in Swiss travel pass, have to pay a so-called discounted admission fee of CHF 128.

Mind blowing landscape indeed can see the mountain and snow so near from the train. I remember lots of snow everywhere and snowing in mid June.
