Starting from August 3rd, SBS Transit is raising its fares again on 41 'non-basic' bus services.
The Public Transport Council (PTC) just recently gave approval to SBS for the fare increase which will see all fares increasing, including those for seniors and students on the selected routes.
The affected services are Nite Owl, Parks, Chinatown, Direct and Premium services.
The increase in fares will depend on how far commuters are travelling and also which services they take.
Adult fares will increase between 20 to 70c on 31 Premium services which go direct from the heartlands into the CBD.
Nite Owl services will see increases of between 10 to 20c per adult.
Parks Services and Chinatown Direct services will see fares increasing by 10c per adult. On the plus side, travellers under 7 years of age can take these three services (Nite Owl, Parks & Chinatown Direct), which consist of a total of 10 routes, for free.
Buses will determine your child's age by their height. Those over 0.9m will need to show valid child concession cards to travel free on these 10 services.
