Last week, shows pockets of unhealthy air quality are emerging across much of the Singapore.

https://www.iqair.com/sg/singapore

Air quality maps show elevated levels of PM2.5, microscopic particles small enough to penetrate deep into the lungs, creating hazardous conditions, particularly for people with respiratory conditions such as asthma. These particles are typically produced by emission and burning vegetation, and can trigger inflammation, breathing difficulties and other health issues when inhaled.

In Johor and Batam, air quality has reached unhealthy levels due to smoke from controlled burns. Although central Singapore remained mostly in the moderate range, residents in many neighborhoods could tell that the air quality was in unhealthy territory.

NEA gauges the haze level with 24-hour average of the PM2.5, often a lagging indicator to avoid alarming the community. PM2.5 is also not the sole component of air pollution. Such distorted data, hindered awareness towards localized air pollution in a timely manner. As a result, schools and outdoor events could not find a legitimate reason to make appropriate adjustments for sensitive groups, including children, older adults and those with heart or lung conditions. Real-time Air Quality Index (AQI) will be more transparent and serves as a better tool for immediate decision-making and long-term environmental management.

No worries, even if the PSI is reported here and displayed on tv similar to what happened in 2019, the air quality is almost always in the 'healthy to moderate range', even though the evidence from your eyes, nose and throat suggests otherwise.

More like Anyhow Fitness. Their gyms have glass windows and you can see all kinds of creatures and action in there.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. raised its oil price forecasts for 2026 due to the prolonged disruption of flows through the Strait of Hormuz, which it described as the largest-ever supply shock for the global crude market.

Brent is expected to average $85 a barrel in 2026, up from an earlier forecast of $77, analysts including Daan Struyven said in a note. The full-year outlook for West Texas Intermediate was hiked to $79 from $72, they said.
