Facebook page SMRT Ltd (feedback) launched a campaign on Indiegogo yesterday (Nov 6) to raise funds for their “teh tarik supply”.
SMRT Ltd (feedback) created the #OpsAirKangKang, the ‘code name’ for 'operation destroy Jover Chew'.
It all began when the troll page saw the news of notorious shop Mobile Air made headlines for refunding a woman $1,010 in coins, and then making a tourist beg on his knees for a refund.
SMRT Ltd (feedback) made a post about exposing the owner of Mobile Air, and named it #OpsKangKang. Then, they released Jover Chew’s particulars on their page.
Yesterday, the page posted up a campaign in Indiegogo, a website to crowd fund, claiming that their “teh tarik supply is running out.”

They said, “And we need teh tarik for all this vigilante work. If everyone contribute $1, we will have enough teh tarik to take down Sim Lim Square and Century Square.”
They did make a disclaimer on the Indiegogo, that “if you contribute, you will get nothing.”
So far, 400 people have raised $2,900 on their Indiegogo campaign.
