Heard some rumour that the Satelite ERP shall be in place in leau for the road tax. Seems like this implementation is good only for rich person whom own big CC cars. Middle class personnel shall be further squeeze for the distance they travel and so call "fairer" system for all. Sigh, what is happening to this country.

Satelite ERP after General Election

Nothing wrong with Saterlite ERP. Much fairer than Road Tax. But the cash card reader is such a boon to parking, no need to go to car park machine to pay.
Satellite ERP will mean that rich people with multiple cars pay less tax, while that one middle class salaried man who has to ferry wife, children and parents around will see great increase in tax.
How is that fairer?
More you drive need to pay more fair. Using more road or distance. If cannot afford to drive then use public transport.
I dont mind paying for ERP.
Hope that the current rate will be double so do the parking because very hard to find parking space.
Rather pay extra few $ to save time.
Actually, cars that are under-utilized should be taxed heavily. Few people actually drive for fun- i.e. likes to drive long distances for no reason. If you have four cars and drive like 500 km a month in total, you should be taxed heavily.
