South Korean actors IU and Lee Jong-suk have ended their relationship after four years of dating, their agencies confirmed on Friday 10 July. The pair first met in 2012 as co-hosts of SBS music programme Inkigayo, and were friends for nearly a decade before confirming their romance in late 2022.

Local reports said their increasingly busy schedules left them with less time together, leading to the split. Both sides said they will remain on good terms as colleagues.

IU recently wrapped up drama Perfect Crown and is preparing an album and September concert, while Lee is set to appear in the Disney+ series The Remarried Empress.
