Yr $$$ solution attitude shows where and how famiLEE LEEgime failed, most technical problems must be solved by technical minds, and not money. Only some technical solution must cost money, however spending money does not always help. More money does not always mean better solution. LEEgime abused tax payers as their own deep pocket to compensate for the own lack of brains - the classic point of failure in SG.:( resulting in high wastage and poor solutions.
If you want to donate I will not stop you. But it seems the server is sufficient to me. Only maintenance works or hackers had been causing troubles. In the normal time this server is many times better than say TR & TOC. Nightly backup of Sam will show up some DB error, but that is usually for only 15min period. Last night went on for 3 hrs. I was online doing things including google searching and news reading, while monitoring Sam's server also. Only past midnight that it recovered to normal.
There are information on how to run backup and maintenance at lower priority without pulling down the server's power by too much. Sam can refer to these:
