A safe containing between $20,000 and $30,000 in cash was stolen from a nursery in Jurong West on Thursday morning.

Workers at Thong Hup Gardens had left the office the previous day at about 12am.

When they returned to open for business at about 8am the next morning, they discovered that the entire safe had been carted off my robbers, reported Shin Min Daily News.

The glass windows and doors to the office were intact and owners of the nursery said they had no idea how the robbers broke in and took the safe which weighed about 30kg.

Police were called to the scene and officers spent about five hours dusting for prints and conducting interviews, the report said.
