This must be a first. Don't recall live firing being conducted over CNY period. Especially since at least 75% or more of those involved will be celebrating

True, I suspect there is more than meets the eye, as this will be the very first time as far as I can recall. To have regulars and NS personnel missing their CNY could not be an easy decision. Lots of unhappiness and goodwill towards the government for those involved and their relatives too.
