【星島日報報道】台灣台南安平一名30歲女物理治療師墮樓死亡，清潔工人發現屍體時，由於死者血跡及腦漿被大雨沖洗，加上死者因病身材瘦小，誤以為死者是「模特兒公仔」，直至用手推車運回回收站後，發現死者頭部凹陷，才驚覺是死人，受驚報警。警方調查後估計，死者疑患長期病，擔心拖累年邁雙親，於是墮樓自殺。
事發周一（2日）上午，台南四分局警方經調查後，得悉姓王死者兩年前從美國返台任職物理治療師，疑因工作太過操勞罹患腎衰竭疾病，要終身洗腎，擔心拖累年邁雙親，於是在清晨從寓所10樓一躍而下，當場身亡。王女伏屍現場，直到上午8時多才被人發現，但由於王女長期洗腎身形瘦弱，身高僅150多厘米，路人誤認是假模特兒，於是通知大廈人員處理。
65歲姓蔡清潔女工接獲通知後，與另一名同事前往處理，將假模特兒搬上手推車，運返回收站丟棄。但推了十多米後，蔡女越看越不對勁，發現假模特兒頭部不僅凹了，面孔與大廈一名住戶亦相似。兩人再趕忙找管理員來查看，才發現是一具女屍，連忙報警。
警方表示，由於案發當日淩晨下大雨，死者伏屍室外，血跡及腦漿被大雨沖洗，加上死者洗腎身材瘦小，才會被誤認。雖然死者屍體被移動，現場被破壞，但警方從死者寓所蒐證，發現死者房間房門反鎖、無被闖入跡象，且打開的窗戶下有一張椅子，死者亦留有痕跡，可證明死者是直接從房內跳下，移屍並不影響警方調查。死者家屬與警方認為蔡婦等人是無心之過，故並未有追究她們移屍。
