S league was a mistake from day 1, when FAS was booted out from Malaysia league. It should had been left alone. You can't just ask Government to pick the tab to create a vibrant league. A successful league has sponsers and TV right to fund the players/Managers and staff salary for each club, plus an owner.
Here in Singapore, we have government and civil servants doing all the heavy lifting for the job. They are all tired and not up to it. They aren't former players or staff who has experience running the leagues. That what happen to a league when a government has a heavy hand in it. They parachuted in a former Colonel who has no credential. He wanted to introduce age limit. Of course, it looks good on paper. But the problem with it is that there will be even fewer players who dares to take the plunge as a professional player. By age maybe 29 , you will probably be left alone.
soccer players can only play for 10 years and a little bit more. How much do they make per month ? 3000 sgd on average ?
Singapore's soccer is doom to fail
