Russia calls for return to the Cold War 'peaceful co-existence' with U.S.

March 8 (Reuters) - Russia and the United States should return to the principle of "peaceful co-existence" like during the Cold War, the Interfax news agency cited the Russian foreign ministry as saying on Tuesday.

The foreign ministry added that it was open to honest and mutually respectful dialogue with the United States and that hope remained that normalcy in relations between the two countries could be restored, Interfax reported.

Agree… I can’t recall any peace accord or agreement the US has complied with in history. Today they are saying they never agreed to non expansion of NATO. The only way to deal with US is to hold them hostage to something.

All those sanctions are beginning to bite now. Bloodymir Putin may be able to take over Ukraine, but Russia will be the eventual loser in this war because it will be set backward for many years to come. Think of the billions required to rebuild Ukraine from its current war-torn condition. Those Ukrainians who want to leave would have left for the West, those who can't will also not accept the new puppet regime to be installed by Russia. There will then be no ending of guerrilla warfare in Ukraine.
