Rupert Murdoch endorses 1 million a year minsterial pay for Singapore Ministers

I have no probelm ministar get a lot of money. But they must think of sinkies FIRST. Other wise I disagree that they should even get a single cent from us.

I fully endorse the concept of high ministerial salaries. It ensures that talent is retained and ministers can operate in a transparent environment free of underhand deals which can destroy the integrity of any govt.

wrong! if a ministar is easily tempted and succumb to under table money, he/she is not fit to be a ministar. A true respectable ministar must always be conscious of his/her own character flaws and refrain from compromising their own integrity. that is where marxist principle should come in.:D:rolleyes:

Yeah, their deals are mostly "overhand". :D

Being endorsed by Rup, not really the kind of "endorsement" aspiring first world leaders should be looking for.
Mwahahahahahahaha.......................... :D

Of course this guy endorse because he expects to say "I'm sorry, we make mistake, now let's move on."

Mr. Murdoch should take over the Straits Times so that he can phone hack people here

Birds of a feather
Rupert says the lion city is his version of utopia

Probably the most telling statement the press baron Rupert Murdoch made during his abject mea culpa before the UK Parliament Tuesday was his praise of Singapore, saying "the most open and clear society in the world... is Singapore -- the cleanest society you can find anywhere -- as every minister is paid at least one million dollars a year and has no temptation to transgress."

Surely the media dictator will not like the other dictator or praise his policies and call Singapore a utopia anymore if the Singapore dictator were to ban or restrict the circulation of his newspapers for writing about politics that are not favourable.

1. more like sheep from the same flock.
2. corrupt begets corrupt.

So if the West is just as corrupt in terms of media and democracy, which country is the best then? Gopalan Liar Nair's America?

How come MIWs never openly self-praise themselves this round even though Murdoch refers to them positively? Hahahaaa, MIW salaries now a very sensitive matter. Thank God for this recent watershed election. Given the chance, the MIWs would have adviced Murdoch not to mention their salaries. It is a shameful thing.

I like the term willful blindness. How many such occurences are there within the PAPies and their cronies, from the NKF nonsense to other dysfunctional activities that surround the PAPies and their cronies?

They couldn't self-praise themselves this round as they've already conceded their salaries may be too high and set up a committee to review with a view to salary cuts. Murdoch obviously didn't keep up with Singapore news, might have been too busy phonehacking for sensational news of other people's private lives.

I have no problem with their salaries too. Provided they are up to that standard to collect. 90% of them, imho, don't even qualify for 20% of their salaries. Period.

90% Please tell me who deserves the million bucks?
