Rent a room for $60 a night for two people in an HDB flat in Singapore, read the advertisement.

When contacted, the owner of the HDB flat in Geylang denied having sublet any of her rooms to tourists, even though she had placed the advertisement looking for tenants in an inflight magazine last October.

She told The New Paper that it was a misunderstanding, and that the human traffic in and out of her flat last year was actually her family members from Indonesia

An HDB spokesman said that HDB flats and bedrooms cannot be let out to tourists or for short-term stays and that they are investigating the particular unit advertised in the magazine.

Read the full report in The New Paper on Wednesday (May 2).

$60 per night. Assuming out of 30 days, only 10 days are taken up by tourists..

$60 x 10 = $600.

Why not just directly rent out long-term to a regular tenant?

Renting out for transit is same leh. Also breaking the law. Furthermore, the number of strange new faces entering and leaving is more likely to arouse suspicions too.

Foreign trash really stupid.

i believe many are doing it but this farker pichar everyone lobang.:D
