Owner fined $4,000 for dog attack

A four-year-old mongrel dog is in trouble again for attacking a fifth person.
Piano tuner Ms Toh Lai Chin, 46, was pounced on by the dog named Monmon while adjusting the piano at her client's home.
The dog barked at her, then lunged at her. Her client's son pulled the dog away after she shouted for help.
She was bitten on her left hand and thigh. She also suffered numbness and pain in her left hand, and was given 43 days of medical leave.
The dog's owner, Mr Terri Chua Teck Hee was fined $4,000 and ordered to pay Ms Toh $2,000 in compensation.
Chua was convicted under the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act.
He was fined $9,000 two years ago after Monmon injured three children in a park.
The dog bit a five-year-old boy on his left hand and lower back at Tavistock Park. An eight-year-old boy was also left with bruises and an abrasion on his right ankle, while his 10-year-old friend had a wound on the right forearm and an abrasion on his buttocks.
In 2007, the dog chased a passing jogger and bit her.
