Rochor Centre Not Going To Be Demolished? HDB To Earn Rental Income From FTs?

I am alerted to this New Sign which was put up recently. Rochor Centre is supposed to be enblocked and demolished but why are they putting up this new sign?

I was told that in Sim Drive, some blocks were acquired back by HDB but in the end, they were not demolished but used to house foreign workers who are working here. Same applies to some flats in Toa Payoh as well where they boasted about installing aircon with furniture and rented out cheap to foreign workers working for the two casinos!

So I want to ask HDB, what are your REAL plans for Rochor Centre?

HDB does. But it's mainly for losers who have all sorts of mental/health issues, family issues or have trouble onto a job for long. On the other hand, HDB rentals to foreigners are to highly motivated and young workers. It makes sense to rent out cheap accommodation to these productive foreigners.

Exactly I am talking about why they never rent out cheap to local workers? Local workers must fit all kinds of criteria while foreigners just need to work can get subsidised rental.

I already stated it above. Locals who got the cheap rentals are usually losers with all sorts of problems. That's why fewer of them should get the cheap rentals. It should go to the more deserving foreign workers.

And I already said why never rent out cheap to local workers? Are you saying there are no normal local workers who need accommodation?
