KUALA LUMPUR: Robbers failed to break into a cash deposit machine in a bank at Jalan Chow Kit here.
This was the fourth such case in the Klang Valley last week.
The attempted break-in came barely four days after three Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) were hit on the same day in Cheras, Puchong and Kepong respectively.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police were alerted at 4am yesterday by the bank informing them there was an attempt to break open a cash deposit machine,
"Early investigations show that the top cover was broken but the suspects failed to break the machine," he said.
