Yes, for twenty years there's one Nanyang Optical in my neighbourhood but i could not afford it.

Lenskart 2 pairs for $100 or $150 + service fees

Now they peddle $600-800 for a pair of "myopia-control" lens to children, which doesn't work because the during age 6-12, the eyes of the children are under going massive changes.

Then they also sell $300-600 a pair of "progressive" lens to adults who have lao hua (presbyopia) like me.

It is sad to see another local brand, Nanyang Optical closing 4 stores as part of its liquidation process. How can they compete with Owndays and Lenskart which are cheaper and trendier?
