Wonder wat happen to Ray Anthony, original lead guitar for em.

He is one heck of a guitarist. Last time I saw him perform was in Katong at a pub across the parking lot from Chevy 57. The was I think four years ago. And before that was in Ion bar during the eighties. I think he mostly plays gigs overseas as most Singaporeans weren't into his kind of tunes. I think he's the only local musician who'd play Jimi Hendrix songs.

Thanks for reminding me, Pests Infested, Straydogs & etc...Like I had mentioned, watched many of these, at the noon concert, ran by National Theatre, I think it was $2 back then..all these were unknown bands, given a chance to preform in front of an audience..that was how, i was introduced to all these bands...we could say the corner stone of local talents in the music industry..of course, frown upon by the Min of Culture back then...we have to thank them, for strangling the music scene..can we?

Diff era, true home grown musicians. Singles, EPs (before advent of music videos). Vernon Cornelius was quite a personality then.

Bug bear of musicians, was the chenghu policy of long hair served last. Even heard the virginal Cliff Richard gave Sg a miss with a scheduled tour 'cos of this.

Saw some of the old farts regrouping on a stint at Bar None at Marriott years back.

Kitaro too...he gave this place a miss, when he was told to trim his hair...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XWmwvT8bCw It is hard to find tunes from those period of our history...but I try...for original recordings were pirated like mad...& copies of the old EP's, LP's etc..are scratched very badly, for many were overplayed & many could afford original recordings...not many could afford to buy & keep...sigh!
