Tony Tan despite his wealth and being a scion of one of the richest families in Singapore has done 3 rallies on the cheap and is using SPH to spread his gospel. Bloody disgraceful. Imagine asking people to invite him to major occasions with a broad audience with press in tow conducting his campaign.

No class, no standard and no integrity.

If the Govt is going to persist in this manner, no decent contender is ever going to front up.

It goes to show that he is the endorsed candidate of PAP.gov.sg.
So much about his independence.

Ever since Tony announced that he was contesting the PE, he's making his presence felt in quite a number of public events..
Most recently he was the Guest of Honour for the Inter Religious Organization gathering..
Independent..??? Ha..Ha..Ha.. Who is he trying to kid.. .the 60%..???

Have PE rallies started? Where? When? Hope you're not confusing conferences with rallies. Did he ask organizers to invite him? Don't make me laugh for I don't think so. He receives hundreds of invites every year. Recent events become publicized because he's standing for PE. Yes, the media is tilted towards him. It's natural. He was one of their bosses. In any case, the campaign hasn't even started. No COE has been issued yet. No polling date and campaign period have been called yet.

As for his wealth relative to official campaign expenses, there's a limit under election laws. This is Singapore, not USA multi-million unlimited expenses elections. I'm not sure what the limit is but I'm sure that he's ready and going to spend up to the maximum funded by himself without donation.

hahaha.....yes there is a limit...
The maximum amount a candidate can spend on election expenses is $600,000 (1 peanut) or an amount equal to 30 cents per elector on the registers of electors, whichever is the greater.
