[h=2]NSmen neglected & betrayed by SG Govt (Part 4)[/h]

[The author has been a grassroots leader for 25
years.
He holds the rank of Major (NS-Retired) and served as
Commanding Officer of a Guards Infantry Battalion, although he
has never been a regular SAF soldier.
Some years ago, his foreigner boss replaced him with a cheaper India
Indian. He was then working for a very reputable and profitable foreign
direct investment company in Singapore.
Thankfully, he has since found a well-paying job with a multi-national
company in Singapore, but he has never forgotten his harrowing
experience at being laid
off.

PUBLIC
HEALTHCARE
Foreigners swarm our
polyclinics and public hospitals.
As a result, one usually has to wait 2 to 3 hours to see…
irony of ironies, a foreigner doctor.
Many years ago, our government restricted the number of medical and
law students. But in a sudden reversal, we now deploy foreign
medical officers and lawyers.
We have had a shortage of hospital beds for many years with
foreigners often getting hospital beds before our NSmen and their families.
As a result, our public hospitals push out patients earlier – including NSmen
and their families – to turn around the hospital beds quickly.
CPF Medisave money is like Monopoly dollars when NSmen and
their families pay dearly and often unnecessarily for various medical
examinations, tests, etc, especially in ‘life-and-death’
situations.
COE (CAR
OWNERSHIP)
The likes of Anton Casey, Ma Chi,
together with many non-NSmen such as Malaysians, PRC Chinese, India Indians,
Indonesian Chinese, Pinoys, and others, are buying and driving cars in
Singapore.
A Singapore-registered car is not necessarily driven by a
local born-and-bred Singaporean; go obverve the Causeway, Tuas 2nd Link, the
Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa integrated resorts, Shenton Way,
Suntec City, etc.
In any aboriginal or organic local population Bell Curve, it is genetic to
have 10% over-achievers, 80% average-achievers, and 10%
under-achievers.
However our government has artificially bloated the top 10% to
40% with wealthy foreigners and with their own relatives and cronies.
As a result, our average NSmen and their families get squeezed to the
bottom 60% of the population Bell Curve.
Many NSmen and their families now fail to obtain a costly
COE for new car ownership or old car renewal.
Adding insult to injury, the Land Transport Authority and Traffic Police now
allow Malaysian vehicles with purple, blue and green lights and
very dark tinted windows to enter Singapore. These Malaysian vehicles typically
emit filthy, black exhaust.
