Reting a house

Hi,

Need to know if i need to rent a common room/house in singapore and that in the rental contract, did it state that have to rent for at least minimum how many months ? I know that must put 1 month deposit in case tenants run road without notice..

The contract will state the minimum months but the no of months is subjective and depends on the landlord. 1 year is common.

but, usu, even tho 1 yr contract, either side can terminate anytime wif 1 mth's notis ... ze contract is oni such dat ze landlord cannot anyhow up ze rent ...

Check contract tak pakai nowadays lah !! Look at the minibond fiasco !! Contract or not, also can take back money one. Next time, no need contract in any transactions. Anything happen, just protest !! Total madness !!
