Way before I was born. No impression of such retro taxis.

But the shophouses, road kerbs, traffic lights, clock tower and memorial are somewhat familiar to me.
 
Took a ride on one of those yellow-top taxis shown in the first post way back in the 70s. I recalled the smooth 'leathery' seat and the heat on a hot day with the wind rushing in as the taxi cruised.
