My father died from lung cancer and he was a heavy smoker. Three weeks ago, my brother-in-laws also passed away for the same reasons. So I'm
trying to put together a list of yesteryears cigarettes for nostalgia reason. In other word, I'm trying to identify and track down their killer(s)!

I'm especially interested in those brands that were available in Singapore pre-1980's. Looking forward to your inputs ... many thanks in advance!

Your dad passed away at what age?
80? then there should be no regret cause that is a ripe old age already, moreover, he enjoyed his smoking.

One Indian used tricycle from ACS to Trevose Crescent selling Rojak Bandong with

My dad passed away last year at 67 after battling cancer for 3 years. The wake-up call came three weeks ago when my youngest
brother-in-law passed away at 38 leaving behind a young widow with two kids aged 8 and 11!!!

In the late 1960's, I was in Primary School in SG, and the Indian man selling chendol, outside our school, for 5 cents a bowl.
At Kampung Radin Mas, we can buy "ayer batu" for 5 cents.
At recess, at the tuckshop, mee siam or mee rebus was 10 cents, the Chinese lady was selling mee dry or mee with soup for 10 cents.

In the 1970's when I went to RI at Bras Basah Road, bbq pork ("char siew") rice was 20 cents or 30 cents (depending on the size of the plate). The machick selling rice with meat or fish with vegetables at 30 cents a plate. Bottled Magnolia milk was 20 cents. Ice cold drinks was 10 cents.
