There is a lot of broken family in Chinese Community due to different faith among family members. Everybody just keep silent and never try to solve it. We should produce Movie to promote religion harmony among family members for Chinese community.

It is very sad to talk about Religion harmony in Singapore and Malaysia. We can sing and sang Religion Harmony slogan.

When come to the reality, nobody can solve it. Malaysian and Singaporean Chinese family had many of religion issues. The Chinese family has Taoism, Buddhist, Roman Catholic, Christian and Muslim. The great parent, grand parent, parent, new generation and kids have their own faith and can not get along. The family damage due to religion issues.

The RTM and Media Corp shall have more movie about misunderstand in Chinese family. A lots of misunderstand can be avoid. Different religion faith in Chinese family can be solving. If they can find out, what was main root cause of misunderstanding is.

Should be "religious harmony" not "religion harmony".

Re: Religious Harmony in Broken Chinese Family

To solve religion hamony we must be able to freely discuss anything religious without getting all heated up and start to hack one another to death?

Can we do that since it has been a taboo issue for so Many years?

I suspect Christanity will win because it is more progressive and free and more attractive to educated population!

Many Buddhist dun like that! Why rock the boat when you have the majority?

By the way where did you get the assumption that broken families are caused by religion?

BAN all Religion....thats the answer son..

SINGAPORE: Singaporeans must lead by example if they want the next generation to care for them when they grow old. That's the message of this year's campaign by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports to promote filial piety.

The campaign which includes television advertisement touches on inter-generational issues. Subtitles have been added for the hearing impaired and the elderly with hearing problems.

It also focuses on the reality of how one generation learns to love through watching the examples set up by earlier generation.

The ministry hopes the campaign will reflect the realities of society and drive home the importance of passing the values of filial piety. - CNA/vm
