The unprecedented episode of the PRC bus drivers strike raises new questions on Singapore’s autonomy. It is a cause to wonder if the country is held hostage by foreigners.

This episode does not bode well for locals here. International media had reported the incident and foreign investors may think twice about setting up companies here now. The issue of millions of foreigners in Singapore have been shown now to bring negative impact to the country’s economical well being.

I was reading on the news on how easy it is for SMRT to give in to the demands of the drivers towards the evening. Basically tomorrow is back to normal, but this greatly empower them to demand for more in the future if they want to. Basically, Singapore is held hostage by them. If they want to stop Singapore, they actually have the capability to do so.

If you all have stop and consider that the potential threat the foreigners actually pose to Singapore stability, it is actually quite substantial. Foreigners have the advantage in that they can actually leave Singapore quite easily if they commit any crime and the chances of them being caught and deported back are slim.

Foreigners working in Singapore are hungry. They will work hard for money. This may sometimes mean sacrificing moral values if they get money. The mercenary nature is inevitable since they travel long distances to Singapore just to earn sufficient to bring back to their home country. If they are paid to to disrupt social stability in our home country, there is no way we can stop them since they can easily exit without major repercussions.

I find it is therefore essential to consider some critical areas where stability need to be ensured. Singapore vulnerable choke points, which may even lead to economic instability if they are disrupted are our transport systems, infrastructure grid, water grid and so on. Imagine the damage foreigners might cause to use if they damage any of this installations and cause major social instability, it might be impossible to repair for a long time. Especially when inter-nationalities trust are involved. This is a big concern for national social and economic security
Apparently and suspiciously following the strike episode, the website of People’s Association (PA) and other related websites was hacked by some unknown hackers who called themselves “HighTech Brazil HackTeam”.

It may be possible that it could have been done by Chinese hacking groups unhappy with Singapore;s handling of the Chinese drivers. If correct, we may be seeing the first signs of the regime being held hostage by the demands and actions of these foreigners working in essential services.
As the saying goes no one is safe from globalization and its effects and this does also apply to the regime. Global forces will eventually put a dent on the regime’s hold on to power.

The PRC workers were right to strike. They had voice their complaints but management did not address them. SMRT violated the contract with these workers; the workers were entitled to acceptable accommodations but SMRT gave them shabby ones. What other options did they have when their complaints were not addressed?

That the PAP government decided to make an example of these workers should get a tough response from China. These workers did not choose to strike but were forced to. They had guts while sinkees would just kowtow and let the bosses bully them.

Sinkees should learn from these brave souls who dare to stand up for their rights,

It appears that you have some insight into the terms and conditions regarding accommodation. What exactly the SMRT promise with regards to accommodation? How was it quantified in the agreement? Were there specifications regarding sq m per person? ambient temperature range, housekeeping services etc. Are the drivers being subjected to worse conditions compared to back home?

"Acceptable" conditions to me means a king size bed, cooling, heating and humidity controls, mood lighting, an en suite with a jacuzzi, mirrors in strategic places etc but everyone is different.

Didn't you know Ah Tiongs call Sinkieland 坡县? (-pore county, which sounds like "poor" county)

The ah tiongs are largely myopic and have narrow vision because they can't read English. Hence their news are sourced from Chinese propaganda. They still think that they are going to be lumber one, that all other countries are beneath them. They are not delusional, but simply uninformed.

Put it this way.

What would Ah Quek the CEO feels if he was given those kind of accomodation but still get paid the same?

Don't tell me a CEO needs a king sized bed, cooling, heating ( by the way Sinkie land does not need heating) and humidity controls, mood lighting. en suite jacuzzi and mirors in strategic places? LOL

The opposition supporting retards are largely myopic and have narrow vision because they lack logic. Hence their news are sourced from retarded website like TOC, TRE and TRS. They still think that opposition parties going to be lumber one, that all the 60.1% are beneath them. They are not delusional, but simply lack common sense

The thread here has got nothing to do with the opposition.

The thread here is saying your PAP Master's rule, being as retarded and short sighted as they are will be threated and their entire econmy will be at the mercy of FTs they allowed in by the thousands to fill up all the jobs.

It seems like even your restructured hospitals are getting the jitters now.

Imagine your Old despotic fart were to need emergency care at SGH and the entire FT in there are on strike!

If you got problems answering to clear and concise questions perhaps you need to seek mental assistance as early as possible.

If we go with your retarded logic, we need to use robots for everything because Singaporeans has a record of going on strike as well. What if SGH hire all locals and they go on strike. Moronic fucktard
