Would non smoking housing estates be feasible in Singapore?​

Just some random thoughts as I walked home while being annoyed by void deck smokers.

As per the title, be it private or public housing. Maybe it would make less sense for private housing since the resulting customer pool is smaller, but at the same time would people be willing to pay slightly higher prices for the assurance of a smoke free neighbourhood?

And of course, stricter rules, stricter penalties if caught smoking within the neighbourhood but always with the caveats of whether rules will ever be enforced properly.

To the considerate smokers, no offence, i just much prefer breathing clean air. To the inconsiderate smokers, please be considerate and think about other people’s lungs.
