Why isn't cycling way more popular?​

I rented a bicycle for hours yesterday and it was great except for the whole no bicycle infrastructure thing.

With like 75% of people here without a car, why isn't it more popular?

Paris did a crazy transformation that everyone said was impossible because of all the excuses imaginable. Singapore seems to have less excuses available, unless I'm missing something?

Cycling is a hobby in SG, unless you do food delivery, even that they don't cycle, they use Ebike.

More S'porean men would take up cycling if we had lady cyclists like them here:
