Vasectomy in Singapore. More questions on options

General

Dear all,

Want to ask more questions who have done this before as I have read quite a number of previous threads on this.

  1. Is the private premium worth it in terms of quality of surgery, follow up etc?
  2. What kind of cost difference is one looking at for private Vs public hospitals?
  3. What kind of costs are involved for private Vs public? need to understand full costs of the surgery for public especially as I intend to pay in cash. (will not claim from my MA)
  4. If doing via public hospital, what's the route? must go polyclinic first for referral?
  5. Will I be eligible for subsidized public route if I'm already considered a private patient in other govn hospitals?
  6. What's the waiting time for subsidized Vs non subsidized in public hospitals?
thanks!

for men, this kind of thing later do liao didi spoilt and cannot stand then how???
AI responds to your query as follows:

A vasectomy does not cause erectile dysfunction (ED). It is a safe, minor procedure that only involves cutting the tubes (vas deferens) that carry sperm, leaving the nerves, blood vessels, and hormones responsible for erections completely unaffected. Any post-vasectomy ED is likely coincidental or psychological.

Key Facts Regarding Vasectomy and Sexual Function:

  • No Physical Connection: The procedure does not interfere with the biological structures that create an erection.
  • Libido Unchanged: Testosterone levels and, consequently, sex drive, are not impacted by a vasectomy.
  • Ejaculate Volume: Sperm only makes up about 5% to 10% of total ejaculate, so there is no noticeable change in semen volume.
  • Improved Intimacy: Many men report improved sexual satisfaction due to the removal of pregnancy concerns.
  • Potential Causes for Post-Vasectomy ED: If ED occurs, it is usually due to factors unrelated to the surgery, such as stress, anxiety, or other underlying medical conditions.
If you experience ED after a vasectomy, it is recommended to consult a doctor, as it is likely caused by unrelated, treatable factors.

Computer know nuts about erection and sex.

The realization that you are no longer capable of impregnating a woman can strike at the core of a man’s sense of identity, stirring feelings of inadequacy and loss that may, in time, manifest as erectile dysfunction.

Play with your penis, don't play around with it.

Vasectomy has side effects….it can sometimes make your babies come out looking very different from you.
