sg parents make terrible parents​

parents these days don’t scold their kids until someone else scolds them for you. then they get pissed at another adult disciplining their kid lol

was standing behind a kid just now waiting to buy snacks, and this kid who is probably 8-9, about 120cm max, kept doing some acrobats by extending their body to take them and i was getting pushed back by them. after the 3/4 time i told the kid don’t “push me please”, and the parent immediately turned around and i told them, i’m not trying to push your kid but your kid keeps pushing me”. their response was “it’s like that one, anyway we are done” and the kid also responded “the man also kept pushing me”. no wonder the kid like that, the parent also like that.

i was behind them, so the man probably got shoved by the kid with their acrobat stretchting, that’s why he pushed the kid back lol.

the parent did explain to the kid i was probably waiting to take the snacks, but you don’t say?? why else would i be waiting behind you for my turn. then loudly announced they wanted to get out, to paggro me lol.

parenting is really terrible these days, if it were me, my parents would apologize on my behalf and tell me not to push people.

edit: wanted to add if it was an adult who was pushing me i would 100% push back.i was trying to be nice to a kid and this what i get lol
