Privilege/favouritism of govt and employers against certain demographics
Do you feel like our govt and like employers in general, sometimes show alot of favouritism towards certain demographics?
Take national service for example. All the non-chinese gets to get the useful vocations to learn and acquire skills useful for the real world. Police, scdf, driver, storeman, etc.
Then jobs, literally embeded in our law, halal establishment MUST have muslim staff working at all times. Worse, their rationale is that only muslims know how to prepare halal food. Extremely discriminatory imo. That's even worse than employers who put "only chinese speakers need apply". At least these employers criteria is chinese speakers. Go learn chinese lor.
This law nonsense 1, non-muslims go be certified to handle halal food, but no, want to reserve job for muslim, just say so.
Eve off for festive holidays.
Why is it that in most organisations, cny eve, everyone gets eve halfday off.
But deepavali, hari raya, only the relevant races gets the eve halfday off?
Indian muslim lagi best. Self declare take both eve off.
