Is working while on mc really a practice in SG?

General

Genuine question

Because lately it really feels that way.

Most of us don’t complain. We show up every day, weekdays, weekends if needed. We stay late. We don’t claim OT. We pick up extra work when the team is short. We step in without being asked because we don’t want things to fall apart.

But the moment we need a bit of flexibility?

Like WFH for a day.. and it’s never a slack day we do our work nothing goes wrong… but they are so rigid but during appraisals they turn around and say oh KPI is not hit this and that..

Suddenly it’s rules, policies, approvals, calculations, business needs and really rigid.

Funny how team spirit only applies when the company needs something from us.

And appreciation? Nowhere. Not even a simple thanks.

Instead it’s leaders passing responsibility around, blaming others when things go wrong, covering themselves first.

Push the work down, push the blame down

that’s all it feels like they do.

It’s just exhausting.

We give so much, and when we ask for the smallest bit of understanding, it’s treated like we’re asking for too much.

Anyone else feeling this? Or is it just my workplace slowly killing my motivation?

Not happy just beat mgt to puppies and fuck off, which I did in countless occasions.
Complain online has no use.
