Is it me or ACS Barker and St Andrews is the school of choice for high SES students if they got rejected from the top schools?​

I’ve noticed many ACS Barker and St Andrews students have rich parents, albeit not everyone who gots there are rich. Especially in the ruggers team.

If you watch the movie "parasite" you will understand.

It's not good to mix with poor ppl with poor ppl characteristics.

Hence if rich ppl children cmi to top schs, their next best alternative is to enrol in these rich ppl sch. At least in these places, less chance of getting this "poor ppl's disease'.

These schools u got money can go in liao. Iirc it's a simple 5digit donation to the sch. The sch will then do the necessary to find reasons to let ur child in. Like for acsb its thru rugby. Child just need attend a short holiday training and they will enrol to some made up sports division in the sch then allowed sch enrolment.

If they are high SES, why would they be rejected? So not high SES? There are people with barely functional IQ in Raffles, HCI and the likes because their parents were somebody.

Ong Beng Seng's son, Cheng Hee, was my classmate back in Cat High in the 90s. For the sake of avoiding a libelous claim, just know that he wasn't the most prodigious student when it comes to academics. He was always left alone by the teachers to play with his newest toys that someone got from the States and never had to take any tests or exams, google him and see what he is now. Don't bother finding his picture, it's been redacted from the internet, what I remember him as was dark skinned and short at that time, his PE house was Noel, denoted by a green PE T-shirt that he is in more frequently than the school's uniform.

Academic assessments are only for the middle class peasants like us. The elites don't even need to try, just be airlifted from school to school, career to career, C suite to C suite.

There was a student back in the 60s who was also from Catholic High. He also excelled in his studies and later became a Brigadier General at the early age of 32 and then advanced to become the PM of Sinkieland. He likes the colour Pink.

ACS is not a top tier school academically. It is the school of choice for the anglolized rich chinese.

Every top school lower it's entry requirements if you excel in sports and are able to bring glory to the school. HCJC was famous for doing this.
