red tide in monterey bay

travel advisory - toxic algae blooming from the central to northern california coast. sea birds are found dead in monterey bay. hundreds of sea lion pups and seals are beaching themselves dehydrated and starving. many fell ill after eating shellfish. if you're traveling to the bay area, stay away from shellfish. better if you juice or blend your fruit and vege.

Not so keen to swim in the west coast of Yankeeland. If not for the red algae, I heard that the Humbolt squid will attack people too! Frisco is a nice city on land, no need to wander into the sea!
