Isn't the punishment for kidnapping in SG the death penalty?

I am not sure but in some cases it is the death penalty.

Yes, kidnapping carries the mandatory death sentence. But im sure it will be amended soon if some FTs are found to be involved.

Not all cases bro. Suppose a divorced man took his child away from the mother, also by kidnapping him. Just to give a different scenario.

Actually, a death penalty for kidnappers endangers a hostage's life.

If the kidnappers find out that they're going to get caught anyway, they might kill the hostage.

No it won't, especially because the FTs will not know whether the child is an elite or not.
They look after their own first, the FTs mean nothing to them in such cases.
FTs are only useful to raise gdp for them, not when it means safety and security issues.
