This can be a sensitive matter; before we have any concrete evidences, we should not jump into conclusion so quickly. It may be due to poor performance, it can be due her political affiliation.Anyway, this case is disadvantage to Ms. Soh since it is an individual against a company. How can she prove that her performance is good, think about it, this is not easy. The company has many things to play with to show that her performance is bad. Who is willing to dig deeper for one individual?Bad performance does not lead to dismissal, this is clear if we look at Tamasek Holding. Other good examples are: a minister who cannot prevent the escape of a crippled prisoner and another minister who over-spent 3 times the allocated budget. All these people quoted above remains intact, and enjoy many months of bonus.

The one firing her is a member of the PAP. Check out his details. The right way is to give warning letters in black and white to show that someone is not doing a job. Then you will have a clear proof to show you did not fire anyone for any personal grudges you have with her. In this case, it does seem to have clear indication that the boss Mr Ho, as members of PAP, is guilty. He also asked his people to vote for PAP. This chap clearly does not draw a line between professional work and politics. He should be fired instead. PAP will only lose more goodwill and votes by this kind of scumbags.

Tan Kin Lian, the former CEO of NTUC Income has also terminated a 55 year old employee from NTUC Income, using the pretext of poor performance. He was then a PAP man. She was a long serving (amost 30 years service) with NTUC parent body. She a dedicated Head IRO who always stood up for worker's rights. The MOM and Mdm Halimah ignored her complaints of harrassment and allowed Tan Kin Lian his egoist misdeed. Can we expect MOM and Mdm Halimah to act fairly..?
Today, Tan Kin Lian is on the opposition side and working the ground hopefuly to get opposition support to stand for the post of President of Singapore. What a shame ... beware of turn-coats. Till today --- No Justice. Tan Kin Lian may want to answer to this.

The KARMA did play its part. After the termination of the long serving NTUC employee, Tan Kin Lian and his team, themselves are no longer with NTUC Income. But the harm done to the employee who had untill then been appraised for her excellent performance have had her career destroyed.
The wealth of NTUC Income was built by the hardworking NTUC Unions and the Singaporean workers. Tan Kin Lian was only a salaried manager. he cannot alone claim the success of NTUC Income. The Ministry of Manpower, Mdm Halimah must explain why the complaints of harssment at the hands of the Management were not acted on and allow Tan Kin lian to use false allegation of poor performance to terminating a dedicated Unionist.
The PAP and opposition parties must not get swayed by Tan Kin Lian own personal glorification. The Singaporean Voters must get to know more about TKL and ensure we elect only the best candidates in search for our next President of Singapore. My vote goes for Mr Tan Cheng Bok ... may he agree to stand.

Poor performance like failing to relay calls, etc, can be easily proved by the company. So I'm sure they will not say such things if it isn't so. This girl is trying to get compensation from the company is it? I say, let the company sue her instead for defamation.

If Tan Kin Lian is so concerned for the people of S'pore he would have joined the opposition.
Instead he said once in an interview with St that he dosen't mind standing for presidency.
The president as we all know have no clout and is only a rubber stamp. There is also a token 4 million bucks to go with it.
Tan Kin Lian in my opinion is looking for a pay cheque.
So fellow S'poreans please discern when the presidential elections come around.

Everyone has different aspirations. Have you spoken to him personally? If not, what makes you think so and make sure a public comments? Would your colleagues be justified on what you intend to do by virutal of the fact that they know you professional and therefore can claim to know your personal aspirations?
