Not that sinkies have low creativity - it may well be the committee that chose this mascot has poor taste.
Otherwise, due to budget constraints, they can't afford a better quality mascot costume or hire someone with a better build to wear the el cheapo costume

Sigh, the state of things is that only a small portion of the BIG money spent on haolian projects is allocated to creative work. When a design proposal is tendered, the committee will first consider the bottom line, ie the proposed fee instead of the strength of the design. As for Bala, only he knows why the budget blew, did he explain in parliament? I didn't follow this in detail. Anyway $300 mil is really sup sup sway for our rich govt. use $ to solve problems, not brains
