Video footage of a woman in Kazakhstan trotting behind her boyfriend’s car while carrying a fridge has led to some, shall we say, confusion.
In the video, the woman is seen holding the fridge, which was apparently just slightly too big to fit in their trunk. Her husband, meanwhile, drives down a street.

Many have drawn comparisons with Sacha Baron Cohen’s sexist Kazakh alter-ego, Borat.

The outrageous ‘reporter’ portrayed the Central Asian country as being home to nationwide incest and prostitution, with a scattering of women-beating anti-Semites.

In the film, Borat was shocked to learn that women in the US had been allowed to drive. It’s worth noting that women in Kazakhstan can, in fact, drive. Which begs the question. Why had she been carrying the fridge rather than seated behind the wheel?

The video was uploaded online with the title: “Kelinka from Kazakhstan carrying a fridge behind the car,” ‘Kelinka’ being a term reportedly used to describe a “multitalented fiancee”.

When you think about it, it’s actually very progressive. All the video proves is that women are just as capable of carrying out manual labor in the form of fridge carrying as any man. Maybe she wanted the exercise?

Or else it proves that she’s marrying a guy who won’t let her drive and forces her to run behind his car while carrying their fridge.

We’ll let you be the judge.

So it was Ho Ching doing fridge exercise and Loving Loong helped by driving? But where are all their minion body guards?

Police were called to a parking lot in Richmond, B.C., earlier this month where they found a man trying to load a full-sized fridge into the trunk of a four-door sedan.

"The fridge was one-third in the trunk while the remainder teetered over the edge of the car's bumper," Const. Justin Stewart said in a release. "The fridge was secured to the vehicle using rope and the seatbelts from the car."

Stewart said the driver told him he thought what he was doing was OK and apologized after he was told that the load was unsafe for transport.

He then removed the fridge from the trunk of his car and arranged for a less precarious mode of transportation, police said.

Cpl. Sherrdean Turley said that although there is some humour in the situation, someone could have been hurt.

"We'd like to encourage people to please take the time to properly transport items," she said in a release. "Insecure loads are to blame for collisions and injuries far too often, and these instances can be prevented."

The moment a thong-wearing amateur removalist balances a FRIDGE on the roof of a moving car (and builder's crack is the least of his problems)

Daniel Jackson, from West Auckland, was seen balancing on the back of a moving car while holding a fridge on the roof of the vehicle
He identified himself on social media after the image was shared by the person driving behind the movers and went viral
Mr Jackson explained that he and his friend had no ropes but were desperate to move the fridge and assured they were driving only 20kph
New Zealand police have slammed the act as dangerous

A couple of New Zealand men, who were desperate to move a fridge despite lacking ropes, were caught taking the saying 'when there's a will, there's a way' just one step too far.

One sure-footed West Auckland man was seen perching atop a black Nissan over the weekend while holding a large fridge in place on the roof of the vehicle.

With no ropes to pin the fridge down and only thongs on his feet, the man stayed in place on the boot of the Nissan as a second man drove the car on Friday.

The photo, snapped by someone driving in a car behind the precarious movers, has gained over 600 likes and 300 shares on Facebook.

Since being shared on social media, the man balancing on the boot of the car, Daniel Jackson, has identified himself by commenting on the posts.

'Hae, this is me. We didn't have a rope and needed that fridge, but no dent incurred and we got it home safely,' Mr Jackson wrote in a comment below the picture.

Other Facebook users soon began berating the man, accusing him of putting both himself and other drivers at risk.
The man later identified himself on social media when the image went viral, ignoring all the criticisms

'Well yous wouldn't want to see any other photos of things we have moved on a roof then lol,' Mr Jackson responded.

He later added: 'I was there to hold it so it wouldn't [fall and harm other motorists] and it was at most 1km up the road from Rosier Road to Leo Street and we were going no more than 20kph so calm down and see the lighter side guys'.

Despite his lack of concern, New Zealand police have condemned the dangerous behaviour while expressing interest in identifying and questioning the two men.
