This is the crux of the whole matter. It is not as simple as whether any lecher is still considered honourable by those supporting such a person.

Considering the position that Michael Palmer holds, namely Speaker of Parliament, it is specifically about a lack of moral responsibilty to SOCIETY itself, as if it doesn't matter at all.

And more worryingly, for what you know, that person could easily have continued non-chalantly and unconcernedly with his usual routine indefinitely if things did not turn out the way it did.

Both Palmer and Yaw are idiots in their own rights. They had abused their position and only decided to leave after they were cornered of their adultery. They would have continued if no one had exposed them. I appreciate those who exposed them and leaked the information to the press. Both idiots are just horny bastard who stick their dick into the wrong pussy and got caught. There is nothing man about it even if they admitted to it as it was no longer deniable.

Does it really mater whether PAP or WP handled the matter better? The fact that both parties failed in term of their recruitment and assessment of their members. They had disappointed the people that they served. The next issue is who are they going to nominate for the coming BE (if any).

What was more interesting is do you guys noticed that some leaders of political parties didnt really give Palmer a hard time after he was exposed? Some just say we should move on and some just 'touch and go' on the issue. I wonder why?

PAP dropped Palmer when they found out about his philandering, WP hanged on to Yaw until it became so open to the public.

if PAP have only 6 seats in the house, PAP would also hang on to Palmer to the very end. this is politics pragmatism. people will say Hougang sure win. WP scared for what? but you best don't take any chances with it. look at PAP. 80 seats already. PAP will likely win Punggol East. PM Lee still no balls to confirm by-election. it is the same logic. carefully weigh up the situation. take no chances.
