Rare four-legged chicken attracts crowds in central Vietnam

A rare four-legged chicken has become the new star of a small rural village in central Vietnam.
Tran Lan, 50, of Nghe An Province said he visited his chicken’s cage five days ago and saw 13 chicks come out from the 14 eggs that he had been hatching.
Lan gently removed the shell of the final egg and brought the last chick out.
He was surprised to see that it had four legs.
Since then, residents in his village have flocked to his house to see the chicken born with polymelia.
Apart from the two main legs, two smaller limbs dangling from behind cannot move.
The young bird is reportedly in good health and walks almost normally.
