Barber is a Malaysian. Was chatting with him and he told me that in the salon industry, most of them are Malaysians these days. I asked him if he is a PR now and he said not yet. He is on work permit but intends to apply. I then said it'd probably be easier if he was on S-pass. He agreed but said need to get boss's support. He said typically in the industry, you will declare $1800 but actual will be less than $1800...

He is planning to apply PR for this Chinaman and mind you, its an almost SURE-GET thing.. Once he got PR, my friend can then employ foreigners as the quota is reset.
Frankly speaking, I have not heard of any REAL S pass holders whose salary is $1800 and above. At least 300+ workers and friends around me are playing with the system.

When the money is banked into the account ( usually POSB ), SGd 1,000 is immediately withdrawn and hand over to the employer.
In this way, Employer CHEATED many sides -
- Cheat Government - reported SGD 1,800 - for EXPENSES Claims
- Cheat Employees - they reported SGD 1,800 but actually received only SGd 800
- Cheat MOM
- Cheat IRAS
