When it ponded at Tanglin Mall, they said that it was too far from the MB for the MB to have caused the flooding. They said the same about Liat Towers and Orchard Road. They even implied the same when Newton and Thomson Road sprouted ponds.

Can they still say the same about Raffles City?

Lest someone put the blame on global warning for our ponding, flooding and laking problems, I must point out that we have not been identified as one of those cities that are sinking by centimeters a year with respect to the general ocean level. The phenomenon of ponding, flooding and laking is purely a drainage issue.
