Serious Question on Grill vs Roast

When you say grill, I suppose you put the meat (eg. Pork, chicken) on the direct flame on a grill.

Then when you say roast, I suppose you put the meat in an oven and the meat gets cooked evenly.

So today someone invited me to her home for dinner. When I reached her place, she opened her main door. I asked her what we are having for dinner because I was very hungry because I only ate an apple for lunch.

She say grilled salmon and kale salad. So I followed her into the kitchen and saw her salmon in an oven. I immediately said this isn't grilled salmon. This is roast salmon.

She insisted it's grilled. And we spend the whole night arguing Grill vs Roast.

I still believe i am right. Grill is like BBQ Grilled chicken wings. Anything that is thrown inside the oven is called Roast.

So who's correct? Me or that dumb blonde?

why argue? just enjoy the dinner and company. you can be 100% right but she’ll remember you as a petty nerdy geek. when both of you are seated for dinner with a candle on the table, and calm and peace soothe the air, ask her. “your fish is great, and next time my treat. we’ll have it raw with sushi. Is salmon cooked in oven considered roast?
If so everything in oven also roast mare.
Definitely is not grilled.

It's cooked and not raw salmon and later can I eat your abalone raw?

If there was great 2 way sex after the salmon, does not matter if it was grilled, roasted or even STEAMED!
