Question: are police bullets only for Sinkies?

Not a single shot was fired during last night's riot at Little India. Not even a warning shot. Not even when police cars were overturned and ambulance and police cars were burnt.

So the question is: when will the police open fire?

I remember that police have fired warning shots or have actually opened fire at Sinkies for minor cases in the past: when the Sinkie was carrying a weapon (a simple weapon like a knife or chopper), or when the Sinkie charged at the police.

Are police instructed to fire only at Sinkies because there are no political repercussions, whereas if the police open fire at ah nehs, ah tiongs, ang mohs, FTs etc, there will be huge diplomatic and political repercussions?
